Import products from a Ticimax XML
Paste a Ticimax XML URL, set the price rules, read the dry run report and create the products as drafts in Shopify.
Setup Requires the free plan or higher Verified: October 2026 · v0.1 Draft
Draft: written from the product plan before launch. Screenshots are added when the app is released and the steps are re-verified.
This guide moves a Ticimax catalog into Shopify: you paste the Ticimax XML URL, Buinbu recognises the Urunler/Urun structure and maps the fields itself, and after a dry run creates the new products as drafts. Time: 10 minutes plus the run itself. Dry runs are available on every plan; applying an import and scheduling it need a paid plan (plans).
Before you start
- The XML export URL from Ticimax: in the Ticimax panel under Entegrasyonlar → Gelişmiş Xml Ayarları create an output with the native Ticimax structure, “KDV Dahil” on, and no IP restriction. Buinbu does not publish fixed fetch addresses for an allow list. The URL pattern and refresh frequency are not documented by Ticimax (unverified).
- Barcodes or SKUs on your existing Shopify products if imported items should update them.
- New products are always created as drafts, so you can review them before publishing.
1. Add the source
- Open Import and choose Add source.
- Under Source address paste the Ticimax link into XML URL. Name is optional; without one the source is named after the URL’s host.
- Under Price rules set the Profit margin (%), added to the source sale price (negative for a discount). Keep Add VAT when source prices exclude VAT on: it adds VAT only to variants whose
KDVDahilis false, usingKdvOranior VAT rate when the source has none (%). Tick Round prices up to .90 if you want it. - Leave T-Soft option names as they are: Ticimax option names are read from the file.
- Choose Save and run a dry run. The source page opens and refreshes itself; when the run finishes its title reads Ticimax.
If the run fails with “Unrecognized XML”, the output does not use the native Ticimax structure. Choose that structure in Ticimax, or map the fields yourself (Map the fields of an unrecognised XML). The price rules and option names cannot be edited later; to change them, delete the source and add it again.
How fields map
The Ticimax mapping is fixed; there is no mapping step.
| Shopify field | Ticimax element | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Title | UrunAdi | |
| Description | Aciklama | CDATA or escaped HTML; scripts and forms are removed |
| Vendor | Marka | |
| Product type | Last level of KategoriTree, else Kategori | / separates levels; a / with spaces stays part of the category name |
| Images | Resimler/Resim, plus variant images | Up to 20 per product |
| Variants | UrunSecenek/Secenek | Variants with Aktif false are skipped |
| Option names and values | EkSecenekOzellik/Ozellik Tanim and Deger, plus Renk and Beden elements | Only properties whose value differs between variants; up to three |
| SKU | StokKodu | |
| Barcode | Barkod | |
| Price | IndirimliFiyat when above 0, else SatisFiyati | Decimal comma or dot, both accepted |
| Compare-at price | SatisFiyati when a discount exists | |
| Cost per item | AlisFiyati | Never used as the selling price |
| VAT rate, VAT included | KdvOrani, KDVDahil | Drive the VAT rule |
| Currency | ParaBirimiKodu, else ParaBirimi | Prices are not converted |
| Stock | StokAdedi | Variant level; written to your primary location |
| Source product ID | UrunKartiID | Products with Aktif false are skipped as “Inactive in source” |
Files that list sizes under BedenlerTekli/Beden with adet and barkod attributes get one variant per size, each with its own stock and barcode.
2. Read the dry run
Last report counts Records, To create, To update, Unchanged, Skipped, Price changes and Stock changes. The note under it explains the matching order, which cannot be changed: barcode first, then SKU, against your store’s synced catalog. Examples lists up to 20 products per kind with the change, for example “Price 349.90 → 379.90”, and Issues lists codes such as TAX_RATE_DEFAULTED or AMBIGUOUS_MATCH with the product. Skipped products carry a reason: inactive in the source, no price, already created as a draft, or matching several store variants. Nothing has been written yet.
3. Apply
Choose Apply to store. It is available on paid plans after a successful dry run; until then the page shows “Run a successful dry run first.” A confirmation repeats the counts: “N draft products will be created and M products will get price and stock updates.” The run continues in the background.
Check that it works
- Runs lists the run as Apply with a result such as “Applied: 120 created, 0 updated, 0 stock levels set, 0 failed”.
- In Shopify, Products filtered by draft status lists the imported items; review and publish them. Each one carries the metafield
buinbu_feed.source_refwith the Ticimax product ID.
Common problems
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| “The source couldn’t be downloaded” | IP restriction on the Ticimax output | Remove the restriction |
| Prices about 20% too high | KDVDahil false although the prices include VAT | Turn “KDV Dahil” on in the Ticimax output |
| “No VAT rate in the source; default rate used” | KdvOrani is empty | Check VAT rate when the source has none (%) |
| “Source currency differs from store currency” | ParaBirimiKodu is not your store currency | Create the output in your store currency |
