Perplexity shows product cards in its AI shopping answers. The Perplexity profile writes a Google Shopping style file, RSS 2.0 with the g: namespace and Google’s availability values, which is the format merchant guides describe for Perplexity. Unlike Google or Pinterest, Perplexity has no public page where you paste a feed URL yourself.
Before you start
- Barcodes on your products. Merchant guides agree that Perplexity matches products by GTIN, so items without a barcode are hard to match (unverified).
- A vendor (brand) on every product.
- A contact at Perplexity, through its Merchant Program signup if it is open, or through a partner platform (unverified).
1. Create the feed in Buinbu
- Open Export and choose Create feed.
- On Feed templates pick Perplexity (search for it, or Show all channels and Create).
- Under Feed name and market pick the Market (country) and keep Currency on that market’s currency. If the market’s currency differs from the one the channel needs, the run fails with Currency mismatch and the file is not updated.
- Under Product selection keep Leave gift cards out on and leave out-of-stock products in.
- Under Filters tick any saved filters, set the Refresh frequency (plans) and choose Create feed.
2. Copy the feed URL
On the feed page, under Feed URL, choose Copy URL. The URL never changes, needs no login and serves the file to any crawler.
3. Give the URL to Perplexity
When Perplexity or a partner asks for your product feed, give them this URL and say it is a Google Shopping XML file (unverified: some merchant guides describe a dashboard where the URL is entered, others an upload over SFTP; Perplexity does not document either). If they ask for a file instead of a URL, download it from the URL; it is the same file the channel would fetch.
4. Check that it is fetched
When Perplexity’s crawler downloads the file, the feed page in Buinbu reads “Last fetched: … · Perplexity”. Until then it reads “No channel has fetched this URL yet.”

| Items missing from the file | Left out as Not published on the online store, No image or Missing or zero price | See Issues in the last run on the feed page |
| No “Last fetched” line | Perplexity has not fetched the URL | Confirm with your Perplexity contact that the URL was added |
More cases: Feed rejected or products flagged.
