Cimri is a Turkish price-comparison site. Its official feed specification is the Google Merchant RSS 2.0 format with three rules on top: prices in TRY including VAT, a file URL ending in .xml, and the standard RSS elements title, description and link without the g: prefix. The Cimri profile writes exactly that.
Before you start
- A Cimri store application: fill the store registration form on cimri.com; the feed URL field there is optional. After document review you get access to the Cimri panel and an account manager.
- Products with a price; Cimri rejects zero prices. An empty description is replaced with the product title, but a real description works better.
- Prices including VAT. Buinbu sends your Shopify prices as they are; if you enter prices without VAT, add a VAT price rule (step 1).
1. Create the feed in Buinbu
- Open Export, choose Create feed and pick Cimri on Feed templates.
- Under Feed name and market pick the Türkiye market (
TR) under Market (country). Currency is locked: “Cimri only accepts TRY”. Prices in any other currency make the run fail with Currency mismatch. - Keep Leave gift cards out on and leave out-of-stock products in.
- If your Shopify prices exclude VAT, create a filter under Filters with the price rule Add VAT (%) (20 for most products) and tick it under Filters on the feed (Filters, price rules and stock).
- Set the Refresh frequency and choose Create feed.
2. Copy the feed URL
On the feed page, under Feed URL, choose Copy URL. The URL ends with .xml, which Cimri requires.
3. Hand the URL to Cimri
Cimri has no self-service feed upload. Send the URL once to your account manager through the Cimri panel or e-mail; they register it on your store. The URL never changes, even when you edit the feed’s settings.
4. Wait for the first fetch and review
Cimri pulls the file on its own schedule; the official recommendation is at least daily. After approval your products appear on Cimri; mismatches show up as products missing from your store page on Cimri or listed under the wrong category. In Buinbu the feed page reads “Last fetched: … · Cimri” once Cimri’s crawler has downloaded the file.

Common problems
| Symptom on Cimri | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Product not listed | Price zero or missing (left out as Missing or zero price) | Fill the price in Shopify; check Issues in the last run |
| Price looks too low | Prices sent without VAT | Add the Add VAT (%) price rule in a filter on the feed |
| Wrong category | Category path could not be matched to Cimri’s tree | Choose a Shopify product category, or write a full path with a Product type / category field template; add a Google product category template |
| Image missing | Image URL not public or not jpeg/png | Replace the image in Shopify |
| Product disappeared | Out of stock | Products with out of stock are usually set passive; they return when stock is back |
